Suffering is inevitable in this world. What's not is how we respond to suffering. We can let it shrink us down and close us off or we can trust that pain never has the last word. We can trust that good can come from even the worst experiences of our lives. If we choose that latter path, we may even find that suffering offers the possibility of deep connections with others. This teaching reflects on Hebrews 5:7-9.
